Things to see and do in Stourbridge in the New Year.
Going into the new year, there are plenty of things to look forward to in Stourbridge, including live music and shows, as well as conservation projects.
Some of the live music being performed in Stourbridge includes Huey Morgan’s show “The Fun Lovin’ criminal: an evening of Music and conversation, coming to Stourbridge Town Hall 10th April 2026. 80’s star Toyah is also bringing her show, Songs and Stories to the Town Hall on 1st May 2026.
Live shows being performed include ‘Mother Goose’ by the Stourbridge pantomime company, running from Saturday 17th January to Saturday 24th January 2026 at Stourbridge Town Hall. In addition, Magic of the Musicals is making it’s Stourbridge debut at the Town Hall on 10th May 2026.
In terms of conservation, from 2017, the Riverside house project has been transforming a derelict 19th century industrial site next to Stourbridge canal into a garden, craft shop and café. The most recent development is steel fence panels that depict the site’s history, funded by the Enovert community trust, which gave £38,000 to help fund the project and the project is continuing to develop moving into 2026.
Additionally, a new permanent exhibition is opening at the Stourbridge Glass Museum on the 30th of April 2026, featuring the restored Churchill memorial screen – previously located in Churchill Shopping Centre. This exhibition will tell the story of the 40 foot long glass mosaic, made up of 17 panels, one of which was restored and features in the exhibition. Stourbridge glass museum are also fundraising to get another panel for the Churchill shopping center.
