Vaping: The Real Facts
Vapes (or e-cigarettes) heat a liquid into a vapour you breathe in. Most contain nicotine, which is addictive and can affect your mood, concentration, and mental health. Vaping can also cause coughing, headaches, and throat irritation.
Because vapes are still new, we don’t yet know all the long-term effects — but we do know they’re not harmless. Health experts say vapes should only be used by people trying to quit smoking. If you’ve never smoked, vaping isn’t for you.
